Terms of Service

By using Sortune (sortune.com), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Sortune is a web application that helps you manage your YouTube Music library. It provides playlist browsing, music playback, library export, AI agent integration via the MCP protocol, Sort, which sorts your Liked Music into playlists with an AI chat, transfer of Spotify playlists into YouTube Music (optionally liking the transferred tracks), the “All music” view of your Spotify and YouTube music side by side, and Align, which adds the tracks missing on one side of a playlist pair to the other — when you ask, or about once a day with Keep in sync.

You need a Google account to use Sortune; connecting a Spotify account is optional. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any MCP tokens you generate.

Sort sorts your Liked Music into playlists. You tell Claude Haiku, an AI model by Anthropic, how; it proposes a plan, and nothing changes until you press Confirm. Then Sortune creates private playlists and adds tracks from your Liked Music to them, or to your playlists that already have the planned names. It never removes anything from Liked Music. Genres are found by AI and can be wrong. Your first sort is free, whatever its size; later sorts need Sortune Pro.

Connecting Spotify is a free beta. Spotify lets Sortune's app connect only the few people Sortune has invited, so for now it is by invitation; anyone else is refused by Spotify, and the rest of Sortune works as before. Spotify ends a connection after 180 days, and you can disconnect Spotify at any time in the account menu.

Align and Keep in sync only ever add. They add each track missing on one side of a playlist pair to the other: to YouTube — into the paired playlist, liking the video — and, with Spotify connected, to the paired Spotify playlist or your Liked Songs; when one side has no playlist yet, they create a private one. They never delete a track, a playlist, a like or a saved track on either side. A track you remove from one side after it was on both is not added back there, as long as Sortune still remembers the track was on both sides (see the Privacy Policy), and it stays on the other side. Keep in sync runs about once a day, and only while you are on Pro.

Sortune is free to use; the free plan includes the “All music” view, one Spotify → YouTube Music transfer of up to 50 tracks and your first sort. Sortune Pro costs $3 per month and adds unlimited transfers, daily sync of linked Spotify playlists, Align, Keep in sync and unlimited sorts on the site, one at a time (daily chat limits apply). The subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time; Pro stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which your account moves to the free plan. If a renewal payment fails, Pro stays active for 3 more days while the payment is retried; if it still has not gone through by then, your account moves to the free plan. A refund, or a payment disputed with your bank, ends Pro at once. The Subscription page shows your plan, its dates and your payments; you cancel or update your card in the payment portal it opens with Manage subscription. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Payments are processed by Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia), which acts as the Merchant of Record: Creem sells the subscription to you, calculates and collects applicable taxes, and its name appears on your bank statement. Creem's Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.

Transfers, Sort, Align and Keep in sync depend on services Sortune does not control. In particular:

• YouTube gives Sortune a daily API quota shared by all users. When it runs out, transfers and sync pause and continue after the quota resets at midnight Pacific time, so a large transfer can take more than a day.
• A Spotify playlist link shows at most 100 tracks. Longer playlists have to be transferred from a file, and daily sync is available only for playlists of up to 100 tracks.
• Public Spotify playlists are read from Spotify's public pages, which can change without notice. If that happens, link transfers and sync may stop until we adapt; file uploads are not affected.
• Spotify decides which apps may use its Web API, for whom and for what, and may change these rules or end Sortune's access without notice. The Spotify connection, the Spotify side of “All music” and Align towards Spotify may then stop working, for a while or for good.
• Sort depends on Anthropic's API. It has daily limits on chat messages and on tracks sent for genre detection, reset at midnight Pacific time. Its tracks are added within the same daily YouTube quota as transfers, so a large sort can take more than a day.
• Tracks are matched automatically, and a match can be wrong or missing. Uncertain and unmatched tracks are shown to you for review.
• Sortune is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Spotify or YouTube.

You agree not to:

• Use the service to violate the YouTube Terms of Service or the Spotify Terms of Use
• Share your MCP tokens with unauthorized parties
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Overload the service with excessive API requests or attempt to scrape, mirror, or redistribute YouTube data obtained through Sortune

Sortune uses YouTube API Services (specifically YouTube Data API v3) to read and manage your playlists and, if you choose, to like videos for you. By using Sortune you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Sortune does not control YouTube's API availability or quotas.

Sortune accesses YouTube data — and, if you connect it, Spotify data — on your behalf solely to provide the service described above: playlist browsing, organization, AI-assisted classification, sorting your Liked Music into playlists, showing your music from both services side by side, transferring music from Spotify — searching YouTube for each track, adding the videos to your playlists and, if you choose, liking them — and Align. Details on what data is accessed, how it is stored, how long it is retained, and how to revoke access are described in our Privacy Policy.

Sortune and its original content are the property of Sortune. Music content accessed through the service belongs to its respective rights holders.

Sortune is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, data accuracy, or compatibility with all YouTube Music or Spotify features.

Sortune is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the service, including but not limited to data loss, playlist modifications, likes or other ratings, saved tracks, or interruptions in YouTube or Spotify API access, including changes YouTube or Spotify make to their APIs or to Sortune's access.

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Sortune after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
